The Department of Budget and Management issued yesterday  Budget Circular  2009-5 to guide the release of the Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) which will be given  to government employees this month.

“The grant of the PEI, authorized under Administrative Order No. 276, is given as an incentive  for government workers for their contribution to improved productivity  in their respective agencies,” Budget Secretary Rolando Andaya Jr. said.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo leads the recognition and awarding of certificates to 40 national and local government units, government-owned and-controlled corporations, and government financial institutions nationwide that have obtained ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QMS) Certification in ceremonies at the Malacañang Palace today.
