With the right support team, together we will soar high.
Recognizing the importance of service knowledge, Regional Director (RD) Imelda Laceras initiated a virtual orientation on the services rendered by the DBM Ocho’s Finance and Administrative Division (FAD). Conducted by FAD, the orientation held on September 22, 2021 included updates and matters concerning all the FAD units, namely: Human Resources, Records, Finance, Supply, Planning, Central Printing and Releasing, General Services and Information Technology. For DBM Ocho, this is an important undertaking to accurately inform its employees of the services provided by FAD, as well as to provide an avenue for clarification of issues and concerns.
Assistant Regional Director Aleli Hernandez started the activity with an inspirational quote "If you feel like you're losing everything, remember that trees lose their leaves every year, yet they still stand tall and wait for better days to come." Though this pandemic brings stress and anxiety to all, "we still continue to work hard, to smile, to laugh and even inspire the people around us," she continued. The FAD never ceases to serve and provide effective and critical support system for the operational, financial and administrative requirements of the office. After the Opening Remarks, OlC-Chief Administrative Officer Emilio M. Albos III gave an overview of the orientation. He introduced some of the key provides. He also encouraged everyone to give their comments, suggestions and recommendations for the improvement of FAD’s service delivery. Personnel concerned under the FAD’s units also took turns to present highlights of their units’ key services based on relevant guidelines. They also responded to questions and clarifications on timelines, remittances, internal policies, and improvement on the systems and database of DBM Ocho, among others.
In closing, RD Laceras stressed the need to continue working as a team. She also emphasized the significance of having and building synergy in the office despite differences in work attitude and competence level as this helps create better results. “While most, if not all organizations, have a support system, not all have that support you can always rely on, especially when you need them the most. And, to be of better service to our clients, we must remain humble and accept our shortcomings so we can improve our services,” RD Laceras added.
