On September 16, 2019, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released PhP21.8 million to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)-Ministry of Social Services.

 

The Centenarians Act of 2016 honors Filipinos who have reached the age of one hundred (100) years old, whether residing in the Philippines or abroad. The Act grants the centenarians a one-time cash incentive in the amount of one hundred thousand pesos (PhP100,000). Other incentives include: a) Letter of Felicitation from the President of the Philippines; and b) Plaque of Recognition to the deceased centenarian who died upon the effectivity of the said Act, to be given to the nearest surviving relative.

 

The PhP21.8 million shall cover the payment of cash incentives to 218 centenarians in the BARMM for FY 2019.
