The Department of Budget and Management (DBM), in collaboration with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), recently launched the Green Green Green Program, an initiative that aims to support beneficiary provinces, cities, and municipalities in promoting green open spaces and infrastructure projects for active mobility.
 
Alongside this, the DBM also released guidelines for the allocation of funds under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) - Green Green Green Program in the FY 2024 General Appropriations Act.
 
According to DBM Secretary Amenah “Mina” F. Panganaman, this is a significant step toward realizing the vision of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for a Bagong Pilipinas.
 
With the launch of the Green Green Program and inauguration of Roxas Blvd. Promenade Project, we are able to take a huge step towards fulfilling the President’s goal of a Bagong Pilipinas, where every Filipino is committed to the improvement of life in the community, involved in contributing to the maintenance of a healthy ecology, and devoted in providing secure environments that will benefit future generations,” said Secretary Mina during the unveiling program.
 
She also highlighted the program’s role in mitigating the adverse effects of climate change.
 
Meanwhile, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Don Artes stated that the MMDA fully supports the Green Green Green program because it aligns with their mission to improve the quality of life in the city.
 
The MMDA expresses its full support for the Green Green Green program, as it aligns perfectly with the authority’s mission to enhance the quality of urban living,” Artes said.
 
He also declared that the MMDA will allocate an additional P200 million “supplemental fund” for 17 Metro Manila LGUs participating in the Green Green Green program.
 
The MMDA is one of the implementing agencies for the Green Green Green Program, along with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development.
 
A total of ₱1.055 billion has been allocated by the DBM for the Green Green Green Program for 80 local governments nationwide, including 38 provinces, cities, and municipalities in Luzon (including Metro Manila), 21 in Visayas, and 21 in Mindanao.
 
The following are the beneficiary LGUs:
 
National Capital Region (NCR): Caloocan City, Las Piñas City, Makati City, Malabon City, Mandaluyong City, City of Manila, Marikina City, Muntinlupa City, Navotas City, Parañaque City, Pasay City, Pasig City, Quezon City, San Juan City, Taguig City, Valenzuela City, and Pateros;
 
Region III: Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga;
 
Region IV-A: Provinces of Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite; Bacoor City, Cavite City, Dasmarinas City, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, and Rosario, Cavite; Biñan City, Cabuyao City, San Pedro City, Santa Rosa City, Laguna; Angono, Cainta, and Taytay, Rizal;
 
Region V: Camaligan, Camarines Sur;
 
Region VI: Provinces of Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental; Iloilo City, Bacolod City, Kalibo (Capital), Malay, Estancia, and Pavia;
 
Region VII: Cebu and Negros Oriental; Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, Cordova, Liloan, and Minglanilla; and Dumaguete City (Capital);
 
Region VIII: Biliran;
 
Region X: Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, and Lanao del Norte; Cagayan de Oro City, Baloi, Lugait, and Villanueva;

The funds are intended for the construction, rehabilitation, enhancement, or improvement of green open spaces, including public parks and plazas.

DBM, naglabas ng guidelines sa paggamit ng pondo para sa Green Green Green Program na naglalayong pahusayin ang PH urban livability, sustainability
 
Inilunsad kamakailan ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM), sa pakikipagtulungan ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), ang Green Green Green Program, isang inisyatiba na naglalayong suportahan ang mga benepisyaryo na lalawigan, lungsod, at munisipalidad sa pagsusulong ng green open spaces at mga proyektong pang-imprastruktura para sa active mobility.
 
Kasabay nito ay inilabas din ng DBM ang guidelines sa pagpapalabas ng pondo sa ilalim ng Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) -Green Green Green Program sa FY 2024 General Appropriations Act.
 
Ayon kay DBM Secretary Amenah "Mina" F. Panganaman, ito ay mahalagang hakbang para matupad ang hangarin ni Pangulong Ferdinand R.Marcos Jr. na Bagong Pilipinas.
