Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah “Mina” F. Pangandaman emphasized that the newly-inaugurated DBM Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR ) office building in Baguio City will serve as a venue to facilitate improved public service delivery and support growth in the local community.

 

“Hindi lang po istruktura ang ipinatayo natin kundi isang simbolo ng ating layunin na mas pagbutihin ang pagsisilbi sa ating mga kababayan,” Sec. Mina said as she led the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

 

The 427-square-meter facility, expected to serve as a crucial base for DBM operations in the region, also features essential amenities. These include conference rooms, childcare area, clinic, and a multi-purpose hall that could accommodate 100 people. Sec. Mina noted that these office features will ensure that both employees and the public are welcomed in a space that fosters productivity and community engagement.

 

“Kanina nakita ko na merong ding solar panels, generator set, at sewage treatment plant sa gusaling ito. Indeed, this modern facility shows our commitment to sustainability and resilience and will truly be a beacon of service and innovation in the Cordillera region,” Sec. Pangandaman added.

 

 

“We express our deepest gratitude to everyone involved in the swift and meticulous construction of this remarkable structure. Your commitment and hard work have been instrumental in bringing this vision into life, reflecting a dedication to excellence that truly sets a standard,” the Budget Secretary said.
