Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah “Mina” F. Pangandaman is set to deliver a keynote address in front of 700-800 participants of the 28th Mindanao League of Local Budget Officers (MLLBO) conference.
With the theme, “Better Public Financial and Administrative Management for a Better and Sustainable Mindanao,” this year's MLLBO convention will be held in Mambajao, Camiguin on July 3, 2024.
The MLLBO convention aims to further enhance the capabilities of local budget officers in Mindanao. It seeks to emphasize the crucial role of public officials, finance, and budget personnel in ensuring effective public financial management at the local governance level.
The conference will involve technical sessions, including discussions on the Special Health Fund, updates on local personnel compensation and benefits, information about the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB), and the internal audit manual. There will also be a session on the local government support fund, specifically on providing financial assistance to LGUs.
Secretary Mina will be joined by DBM Undersecretaries Wilford Will L. Wong and Goddes Hope.
Also participating in the said activity will be MLLBO President Atty. Percy G. Salazar, who will lead the Formal Opening of Convention Message, as well as Hon. Yñigo Jesus D. Romualdo, Municipal Mayor Mambajao and Hon. Xavier Jesus D. Romualdo, who is the Governor of Camiguin who will share Welcome Messages.

Pangandaman, magbibigay ng keynote message sa ika-28 na Mindanao League of Local Budget Officers Convention
Nakatakdang magbigay ng kanyang keynote message si Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah “Mina” F. Pangandaman sa harap ng 700-800 na participants sa 28th Mindanao League of Local Budget Officers (MLLBO) conference.
Sa temang “Better Public Financial and Administrative Management for a Better and Sustainable Mindanao,” gaganapin ang MLLBO convention sa bayan ng Mambajao, Camiguin sa ika-3 ng Hulyo taong 2024.
Layon ng MLLBO convention na palakasin pa ang kakayahan ng mga lokal na budget officer sa Mindanao. Ito ay para bigyang-diin ang mahalagang papel ng mga opisyal ng pamahalaan, finance, at budget personnel sa pagtiyak ng epektibong pampublikong pamamahala sa local governance level.
Sa kumperensiyang ito, magkakaroon ng mga technical sessions, kabilang ang mga talakayan tungkol sa Special Health Fund, mga update sa kompensasyon ng local personnel compensation at benefits, impormasyon tungkol sa Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB), at ang internal audit manual. Mayroon ding sesyon tungkol sa local government support fund, partikular sa pagbibigay ng tulong-pinansyal sa mga LGU.
Makakasama ni Secretary Mina sina DBM Undersecretaries Wilford Will L. Wong at Goddes Hope O. Libiran sa aktibidad na ito.
