DBM PRESS RELEASE

4th Top Performing Cabinet Official

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah "Mina" F. Pangandaman emerged as one of the highest-rated cabinet officials of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s administration, according to the first quarter release of the “Boses ng Bayan” nationwide job performance evaluation for 2024.

This year, she garnered an 85% job performance score and an 87% trust rating, a huge leap from her last quarter survey ratings in 2023, where the budget secretary had an 80% approval score and an 82% trust rating.

Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng ating mga kababayan na patuloy na nagtitiwala at sumusuporta sa atin. This affirmation will serve as my inspiration and challenge to serve the Filipino people even better. I share this recognition with all the hardworking men and women of DBM— sa mga walang tulog, walang pahinga, at mga matapat na naglilingkod sa bayan. Para sa ating lahat po ito,” Sec. Pangandaman said.

The independent and non-commissioned survey engaged 10,000 respondents in a face-to-face interview to evaluate the overall effectiveness of cabinet officials in their respective roles. It was conducted by the RP-Mission and Development (RPMD).

The cabinet members joining Sec. Pangandaman at the top of the list were Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sec. Benjamin Abalos Jr., Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Sec. Rex Gatchalian, Department of Tourism (DOT) Sec. Christina Frasco Garcia, and Department of Justice (DOJ) Sec. Jesus Crispin Remulla.

Rest assured that the DBM remains steadfast in our promise to work harder in reducing the impact of inflation, boosting employment with improved wages, aiding those in need financially, fighting corruption, and streamlining processes through digital transformation. We are relentless in our pursuit of achieving an inclusive and sustainable future where no Filipino is left behind,” Sec. Pangandaman said.
