By: Joy Almazan, with input from the Administrative Service-Human Resource Development Division
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) crafted the initial draft of its first six-year Gender and Development (GAD) Agenda to provide the strategic framework on gender mainstreaming and on the attainment of the Gender Equality and Women Empowerment (GEWE) goals.
This GAD Agenda shall be the basis of the Department in formulating its annual GAD programs and projects Plan and Budget, as well as serve as its guide in assessing GAD initiatives.
Ms. Renifer Francisco, a GAD expert and consultant and current president of the Gender Empowerment Consultancy and Advocacy, guided the participants from the DBM Regional Offices in preparing the DBM’s GAD Agenda, from the drafting of the GAD vision, mission, and goal statements to the formulation of the GAD Strategic Plan.
The training-workshop, organized by the Administrative Service-Human Resource Development Division (AS-HRDD), was held on August 16-18, 2023 at the DBM Arcache Building
