Pangandaman to attend 18th IGRB Meeting, Int'l Association of Women Judges Conference

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah "Mina" F. Pangandaman is scheduled to attend two important events from May 8-9, 2024.

Secretary Pangandaman is set to lead the 18th Meeting of the National Government-Bangsamoro Government Intergovernmental Relations Body (IGRB) as co-chair, together with Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal. The Meeting will take place in Cagayan De Oro City, Misamis Oriental on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

The IGRB plays a crucial role in the context of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The intergovernmental body facilitates cooperation and coordination between the agencies established by the BARMM and those of the Philippine National Government. Its primary function is to coordinate and resolve pressing issues through regular consultation and continuing negotiation in a non-adversarial manner.

The Budget Secretary will be accompanied by other DBM officials, including Undersecretary Wilford Will L. Wong and Undersecretary Goddes Hope O. Libiran.

Following the IGRB meeting, the Budget Secretary is also scheduled to attend the 2024 Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of the International Association of Women Judges, as a resource speaker, on May 9, 2024, in Cebu City, Cebu.

Secretary Pangandaman, a staunch advocate of women's rights and gender equality, has been invited as a resource speaker to discuss the topic, Gender Inclusivity and Empowerment, specifically the DBM's programs and policies towards its achievement.

The 2024 Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) is a significant event that brings together women judges from across the globe. The theme for this conference is "Women Lead: Transforming Asia Pacific and Changing the World." The conference aims to empower women judges and promote gender-sensitive adjudication, thereby strengthening trust in the justice system.

Pangandaman, dadalo sa ika-18 pulong ng IGRB, Int'l Association of Women Judges Conference

Dadalo si Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah "Mina" F. Pangandaman sa dalawang importanteng pulong mula ika-8 hanggang ika-9 ng Mayo 2024.

Nakatakdang pangunahan ni Secretary Pangandaman, ang ika-18 pulong ng National Governement-Bangsamoro Government Intergovernmental Relations Body (IGRB) bilang co-chair, kasama si Minister Mohagher M. Iqbal. Gaganapin ang pulong sa Cagayan De Oro City, Misamis Oriental sa ika-8 ng Mayo 2024.

Mahalaga ang papel na ginagampanan ng IGRB sa konteksto ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Pinapadali ng intergovernmental body ang kooperasyon at koordinasyon sa pagitan ng mga ahensyang itinatag ng BARMM at ng Philippine National Government. Ang pangunahing tungkulin nito ay upang makipag-ugnayan at lutasin ang mga mabibigat na isyu sa pamamagitan ng regular na konsultasyon at patuloy na negosasyon sa maayos na paraan.

Kasama ng Budget Secretary na dadalo sa pulong ang ibang DBM officials, tulad nina Undersecretary Wilford Will L. Wong and Undersecretary Goddes Hope O. Libiran.

Matapos ang pulong ng IGRB, nakatakda ding dumalo ang Budget Secretary sa 2024 Asia-Pacific Regional Conference of the International Association of Women Judges bilang resource speaker sa Cebu City, Cebu sa ika-9 ng Mayo 2024.

Isang matibay na tagapagtaguyod ng mga karapatan ng kababaihan at pagkakapantay-pantay, naimbitahan si Secretary Pangandaman, bilang isang resource speaker para talakayin ang paksa, Gender Inclusivity and Empowerment, partikular ang mga programa at patakaran ng DBM tungo sa tagumpay nito.

Ang 2024 Asia-Pacific Regional Conference ng International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) ay isang makabuluhang kaganapan na pinagsasama-sama ang mga babaeng hukom mula sa buong mundo. Ang tema para sa kumperensyang ito ay "Women Lead: Transforming Asia Pacific and Changing the World." Layon ng kumperensya na bigyang kapangyarihan ang mga babaeng hukom at itaguyod ang gender-sensitive adjudication, upang palakasin ang tiwala sa sistema sa justice system.
