The activity started by an opening prayer and the introduction of the PGAD members. The opening message was delivered by Ms. Jacqueline B. Ludovice, DBM RO IV-A GFPS member, wherein she thanked the Provincial Government of Quezon, especially the (PGAD) Office headed by Atty. Geoff Lyn D. San Agustin for accepting the request to share their best practices in Gender and Development.

Atty. San Agustin, together with her members, presented their accomplishments and shared their various GAD activities which are mainstreamed in all departments/offices of the Province. She also narrated how they started and how they were recognized as the Best GAD Implementer in the Region. She also mentioned that they also received various awards and recognitions from different organizations and awarding bodies.
After active discussions and sharing of experiences in the implementation of GAD activities, Atty. San Agustin suggested other GAD related activities/seminars, such as Mental Health Awareness and Stress Management, that might be implemented to increase the level of GAD awareness and appreciation of DBM RO IV-A employees and its clients.

In her closing remarks, Ms. Rujen A. Polo, DBM ROIV-A GFPS head, expressed her gratitude to the PGAD Office for sharing their thoughts and ideas with the DBM RO IV-A GFPS members which will greatly help in the preparation of the succeeding GAD Plan and Budget of the Office.
The benchmarking activity ended with the presentation of reference materials and giving of souvenir mugs to DBM RO IV-A GFPS members.
