This updated
Index of Occupational Services, Occupational Groups,
Classes and Salary Grades of the Position Classification
and Compensation System of the Philippine Government
is being issuantsued pur to Sections 6 and 9 of Republic
Act (RA) No. 6758 (Compensation and Position Classification
Act of 1989). |

| It contains a list of classes by
occupational service and by occupational group. |
| |
Government
agencies and other users will find this IOS a convenient
guide in identifying classes of positions for purposes
of effective personnel management, organizational analysis,
budgeting and fiscal control, and general information. |

As the need
arises, changes in this IOS will be issued by the Department
of Budget and Management. The loose-leaf form has been
adopted for easy insertion of duly approved changes
brought about by creation, abolition, upgrading and/or
downgrading of classes. |

The care and
maintenance of this IOS are the responsibility of the
Human Resource Management Officer or equivalent officer
of each agency. |
