Now on its third year, the Fiscal Policy Conference has become an important venue for strengthening the link between empirical evidence and policy action. By providing opportunities for researchers and practitioners to engage directly with policymakers, the FPC contributes to the development of innovative and practical solutions to fiscal and governance challenges.
Since its inaugural run in 2024, the Conference has steadily expanded in both scale and reach. Participation has grown beyond national government agencies to include academic and research institutions, local government units, civil society organizations, development partners, and students.
Through plenary discussions and thematic breakout sessions, participants examine a broad range of issues, including public expenditure and financing, fiscal decentralization, debt and public financing, governance reforms, and other priority areas in public finance.
