Committed to improving operational efficiency in government, the Systems and Productivity Improvement Bureau (SPIB) - Internal Control Management Division of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) welcomed 2024 with a two-day focus group discussion (FGD)-workshop with eight (8) resource persons (RPs) on internal control and internal audit to better aid government agencies in the conduct of Baseline Assessment of Internal Control System (BAICS), a vital step in internal audit strategic planning.
In particular, the participants discussed the challenges and issues, as well as identified resource requirements during actual learning and development activities. They also reviewed existing materials (session plan and presentation deck) and proposed action plans to address the emerging issues, concerns, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
The hybrid workshop was held on January 23-24, 2024, accommodating face-to-face attendance at the DBM Multi-Purpose Hall and virtual participation via Zoom.
