In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to accelerate infrastructure development and sustain economic momentum, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Rolando “Rolly” U. Toledo has approved the release of P46.22 billion to fund 1,743 infrastructure projects nationwide.

 

The amount was released to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to support projects spanning 17 regions—advancing road connectivity, improving mobility, and unlocking economic opportunities across communities.

 

Among the major projects funded is the Davao City Bypass Construction Project, with an approved allocation of P288.371 million for FY 2026.

 

The release also covers critical initiatives under the DPWH’s Asset Preservation Program, including preventive maintenance of national roads, as well as the rehabilitation and reconstruction of existing road networks. It likewise supports the Network Development Program, which includes road widening and off-carriageway improvements, and the Bridge Program, which focuses on the rehabilitation, retrofitting, strengthening, and widening of permanent bridges.

 

DBM Secretary Rolly Toledo emphasized that the release reflects the Administration’s firm commitment to ensuring that vital infrastructure projects are implemented without delay—so their benefits are immediately felt by the public.

 

“Sa malinaw na utos ng Pangulo, tuloy-tuloy ang pagpapatupad ng mga proyektong magpapabilis ng biyahe, magpapalakas ng ekonomiya, at magdadala ng serbisyo sa mas maraming komunidad. Hindi puwedeng maantala ang mga proyektong direktang nakakatulong sa buhay ng tao,” Secretary Toledo said.

 

“Kapag kumpleto at maayos ang mga dokumento, hindi kami mag-aatubiling i-release ang pondo. Dahil bawat araw na naaantala ang proyekto, may kababayan tayong hindi pa nakakabenepisyo—at iyon ang ayaw nating mangyari,” he added.

 

According to DPWH, the projects funded under the release have undergone thorough evaluation and are aligned with the President’s priorities for infrastructure development and the advancement of socioeconomic growth.

 

The DBM approved the issuance of 158 Special Allotment Release Orders (SAROs) for the purpose on 15 April 2026.

Alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na pabilisin ang pagpapaunlad ng imprastraktura at mapanatili ang sigla ng ekonomiya, inaprubahan ni Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Rolando “Rolly” U. Toledo ang pagpapalabas ng P46.22 bilyon para pondohan ang 1,743 proyektong pang-imprastraktura sa buong bansa.

 

Ipinalabas ang pondo sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) upang suportahan ang mga proyekto sa 17 rehiyon—na inaasahang magpapalakas sa connectivity ng mga kalsada, magpapahusay sa mobilidad, at magbubukas ng mas maraming oportunidad pang-ekonomiya para sa mga komunidad.

 

Kabilang sa mga pangunahing proyektong pinondohan ang Davao City Bypass Construction Project, na may aprubadong pondo na P288.371 milyon para sa FY 2026.

 

Sakop din ng pondo ang iba pang mahahalagang inisyatiba sa ilalim ng Asset Preservation Program ng DPWH, kabilang ang preventive maintenance ng mga national roads, gayundin ang rehabilitasyon at rekonstruksyon ng kasalukuyang road networks. Sinusuportahan din nito ang Network Development Program, kabilang ang pagpapalapad ng mga kalsada at mga off-carriageway improvements, at ang Bridge Program, na nakatuon naman sa rehabilitasyon, retrofitting, pagpapalakas, at pagpapalapad ng mga permanenteng tulay.

 

Binigyang-diin ni Secretary Toledo na ang pagpapalabas ng pondo ay sumasalamin sa matibay na paninindigan ng Administrasyon na tiyakin ang maagap na implementasyon ng mga mahahalagang proyektong pang-imprastraktura, upang agad na maramdaman ng publiko ang mga benepisyo nito.

 

“Sa malinaw na utos ng Pangulo, tuloy-tuloy ang pagpapatupad ng mga proyektong magpapabilis ng biyahe, magpapalakas ng ekonomiya, at magdadala ng serbisyo sa mas maraming komunidad. Hindi puwedeng maantala ang mga proyektong direktang nakakatulong sa buhay ng tao,” ani Secretary Toledo.

 

”Kapag kumpleto at maayos ang mga dokumento, hindi kami mag-aatubiling i-release ang pondo. Dahil bawat araw na naaantala ang proyekto, may kababayan tayong hindi pa nakakabenepisyo—at iyon ang ayaw nating mangyari,” dagdag pa n’ya.

 

Ayon sa DPWH, ang mga proyektong pinondohan ay dumaan sa masusing pagsusuri at nakaayon sa mga prayoridad ng Pangulo para sa infrastructure development at pagsusulong ng socioeconomic growth.

 

Inaprubahan ng DBM ang paglalabas ng 158 Special Allotment Release Orders (SAROs) para sa layuning ito noong ika-15 ng Abril 2026.
