Consistent with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order, the Department of Budget and Management approved a total of ₱740.834 million additional replenishment for Quick Response Funds to sustain the government's ongoing relief and recovery efforts following the recent devastating natural disasters that hit the country.
Of this amount, ₱640.834 million has been released to the Department of Social Welfare and Development and ₱100 million for the Department of National Defense - Office of Civil Defense.
"Malinaw po ang utos ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na ang pag-responde ng gobyerno ay hindi dapat one-time effort. Magtutuluy-tuloy po ang ating suporta sa mga ahensya at LGUs para matulungan ang ating mga kababayan na manumbalik sa normal ang kanilang pamumuhay," DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said.
Per DSWD's representation, the requested ₱640.834 million QRF replenishment is particularly intended for the procurement of Family Food Packs and Non-Food Items for the stockpiling of relief resources in DSWD warehouses. This will also support the outright cash aid through the Emergency Cash Transfer to 73,348 families affected by earthquakes in the city of Cebu in Region VII and Davao in Region XI, as well as as for residents affected by the southwest monsoon and tropical cyclones ‘Mirasol,’ ‘Nando,’ and ‘Opong’ in Bicol region. The released amount will also be used for the procurement of transport and delivery services and stand-by funds of DSWD Regional Offices, among others.
On top of the ₱640.834 million, a total of ₱1.341 billion was previously released this year to the DSWD on October 2 (₱625 million) and October 8 (₱716.15 million) to cover the additional replenishment of its 2025 QRF.
Meanwhile, for the OCD, the ₱100 million replenishment of their QRF is intended to cover the agency's Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses to support its disaster management operations until the end of the year. (END)

Alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., inaprubahan ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang kabuuang ₱740.834 milyon na karagdagang pondo para sa Quick Response Funds (QRF) ng gobyerno. Layunin nitong matiyak ang tuloy-tuloy na pagbibigay ng tulong at suporta sa mga mamamayang naapektuhan ng mga nagdaang kalamidad sa bansa.
Mula sa halagang ito, ₱640.834 milyon ang inilaan para sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at ₱100 milyon naman para sa Department of National Defense – Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

Ayon sa DSWD, ang ₱640.834 milyon na QRF replenishment ay gagamitin para sa pagbili ng Family Food Packs at Non-Food Items para mapuno muli ang mga bodega ng relief goods ng ahensya. Gagamitin din ito sa pamamahagi ng agarang cash assistance sa pamamagitan ng Emergency Cash Transfer para sa 73,348 pamilyang naapektuhan ng mga lindol sa Cebu (Region VII) at Davao (Region XI), pati na rin sa mga residenteng tinamaan ng habagat at bagyong Mirasol, Nando, at Opong sa Bicol Region. Kasama rin sa pondong ito ang gastusin para sa transportasyon, delivery services, at standby funds ng mga regional office ng DSWD.
Bukod sa ₱640.834 milyon, nakatanggap na rin ngayong taon ang DSWD ng kabuuang ₱1.341 bilyon bilang karagdagang replenishment ng kanilang 2025 QRF — ₱625 milyon noong Oktubre 2 at ₱716.15 milyon noong Oktubre 8.
Samantala, ang ₱100 milyon na inilaan sa OCD ay para tustusan ang Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses ng ahensya na gagamitin sa mga disaster management operations hanggang sa pagtatapos ng taon. (END)
