DBM Press Release

Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman lauds President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for his approval of the salary increase and medical allowance of Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) employees.
"We thank President Bongbong Marcos for this development, which reflects his commitment to upholding the welfare of our fellow public servants. Malaking bagay po ang salary increase at provision ng medical allowance na ito para sa lahat ng GOCC employees para mas lalo pa nilang maisakatuparan ang kanilang tungkulin sa paglilingkod sa ating mga kababayan," Secretary Amenah said.
The President made the announcement during the celebration of the 2025 GOCCs Day, spearheaded by the Department of Finance, at the Malacañan Palace today, September 16.
He recognized the GOCCs' role in serving the Filipino people, particularly through their significant dividend contributions that support government spending in vital social programs and infrastructure projects.
"And in support of the hardwoking men and women who make this possible, I have approved the Compensation and Position Classification System II that will increase the salaries of GOCC employees. Well-deserved naman," the President remarked.
"I have also approved the provision of a tiered medical allowance for GOCC employees, depending on the capacity of the GOCCs," President BBM continued.
In closing, the President reminded GOCC employees to continue demonstrating efficiency and accountability in their work to better serve the Filipino people.
“So, as we celebrate these milestones, let us also recognize that there is much work still left to be done. My challenge to our GOCCs is to invest in modern technology, simplify our processes, and cut down on red tape so that every Filipino enjoys easy, fair, and dignified access to the services that they deserve,” President Marcos Jr. said.
